2 Corinthians 8:1-16
1 Now brothers, we want to tell you how it has shown the goodness of God ins churches of Macedonia. 2 Despite the trials that have been through, are very happy, and despite being very poor, their offerings have been so generous as if they were rich. 3 I am witness that have offered spontaneously according to their ability, and beyond them. On its own initiative 4 much they asked us we allowed to take part in this service to the people of God. 5 And so did more than we expected, because themselves were offered first to the Lord and to us, according to the will of God. 6 Therefore we begged Titus to pick among you this gracious collection before he began to collect. 7 For you, that excel in everything, in faith, and ease of speech, in knowledge, willingness to serveand love to learn from us, they should also excel in this act of charity. 8 Do I say this as a mandate, just want to know the willingness of others to give you the opportunity to demonstrate that your love is real. 9 For you know that our Lord Jesus Christ, in His goodness, being rich became poor for your sakes, that by his poverty you become rich. 10 For your sake I give my opinion on this matter. Since last year, you not only started to do something about it, but to do so with enthusiasm. 11 And now, within their capabilities, end what they start with the same willingness that showed at the beginning, when they decided to do so. 12 For if anyone really qora. But when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth yet? "
can follow a period of silence. Comment: What is justice? Well, only one definition that comes to mind is that of Aristotle: "... it just is what is under the law and equality. "So if the Bible requires us to act justly to others, it is obvious that we must act according to the law - not to steal, pay taxes, not to kill or disturbing the neighbors. But Aristotle's definition says that there is something beyond the law - that is equality. St. Paul instructs us to help others - andmpezando with other members of the church - to establish true equality in substance, that does not lack anything to anyone. In the parable, the Lord tells us a joke, really - I guess the people around him laughed at that moment something, until the Lord explained the connection with God the Judge. The example of Judge Malo gives us another perspective - the need to deny what they can relieve their suffering. Then we have a clearer idea of what is justice - to comply with the law, do not deny equal and necessary to others. At all times, then, we must keep these three very present in everything we undertake during the day.
